President Donald Trump (R) won the presidential election in Wyoming on November 3, 2020.

The Republican Party held its state convention on May 7-9, 2020.[3] Former Vice President Joe Biden won the Wyoming Democratic caucuses.[4] The party canceled in-person caucus events as a result of the coronavirus outbreak and encouraged voters to participate by mail. The deadline for receiving completed ballots was April 17, 2020.[5]

Between 1900 and 2016, Wyoming voted for Republican presidential candidates 77 percent of the time. Heading into the 2020 election, the last time Wyoming voted for a Democratic presidential candidate was 1964, when Lyndon B. Johnson won the state.[6]

In 2016, Trump won 70.1 percent of Wyoming’s vote, Hillary Clinton (D) won 22.5 percent, Gary Johnson (L) won 5.3 percent, and Jill Stein (G) won 1.0 percent.[7]
